T'Zora of Vulcana Regar

Federation Intelligence Agent

I used to be an agent with FedIntel but have since resigned. The Fed Intel was an online Role Playing Game in the late 1990s. They have long since changed their name and moved to a new location. I signed a confidential clause on joining FedIntel, so I have no idea of their current whereabouts or if they even still exist.

BACKGROUND

Born on Bolarus IX (The Bolian home world) 2264 as my father Shirav was the Vulcan Ambassdor to the Bolians at the time.

In 2268 we returned to Vulcan after my great grandfather Farakh died on the USS Intrepid (the first ship in Starfleet with an all-Vulcan crew).

We settled in the city of Vulcana Regar where I grew up and went to school. I was never bonded as my mothers family believed in allowing Vulcans to choose for themselves. My father had a most difficult time accepting this. He had my older brother Sanak, bonded. Some years later Sanak caught his betrothed with another man. That bonding was severed and my father agreed not to bond me.

I participated in the Kahswan rites twice when I was 10 and 11 years old. The reason I did it twice was due to the slashing wound I got from a le-matya during my first ordeal. I had to be "rescued" as I was spotted lying unconcious on the ground. I still have the scar on my right leg. The following year I went out into the desert and tried again. This time, I survived and passed.

During my teenage years I discovered archaeology and Vulcan history and the vast number of ruins that are rumored to be scattered all over Vulcan. I was determined to find and excavate them all.

2282 I entered the Vulcan science academy and studied Vulcan and Federation History and Archaeology. I graduated in 2286 and entered Starfleet Academy.

In 2286 just after I graduated from the Science Academy, I had the opportunity to meet the famous Captain Kirk, and his crew, including Spock and Doctor McCoy. The Enterprise crew were exiled to Vulcan following the disastrous Genesis fiasco.

In 2290 I graduated from the Starfleet Academy and was assigned to the USS Excelsior under Captain Hikaru Sulu. I was an Ensign aboard the Excelsior for 10 years, mostly doing Historical research. I did not see much "action" except for the Khitomer Conference (2293), during which, once again, Captain Kirk and his crew saved the Federation and exposed the plot to assassinate the Federation President. One of my colleagues aboard the Excelsior was Ensign Tuvok, who is now aboard the USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant.

2300 Assigned to the Gateway planet in order to study the "Guardian of Forever". I had a fascinating time becoming familiar with much of the histories of many Federation (and some non-Federation) worlds.

2311 My grandfather was killed during the Tomed incident. He was a diplomat but he too was ineffective in having the Romulans stand down. It was a case of "Diplomacy Gone Bad". I resigned from Gateway and Starfleet and went home. Actually I was looking for any excuse to leave Starfleet. I felt that they were not utilising my skills to my fullest abilities. So I returned to Vulcan and began working for the Ministry of Thought (Culture). I was sent to the northern Province where I helped to excavate Fort Abakur, one of dozens of ancient ruins in the area.

2320 By now I was getting bored again, so I re-entered the Vulcan Science academy, this time to complete a Ph.D in XenoArchaeology. I graduated in 2324, just in time to accept a position on a Vulcan expedition to Tagus III. There I spent 9 years excavating a civilization that is supposed to be billions of years old.

2333 I was recalled to Starfleet, specifically requested by Lieutenant Jack Crusher, in order to join the USS Stargazer on a long term mission of Exploration. I spent 22 years on board the Stargazer, and we were lucky to escape with our lives after the Ferengi attacked us and destroyed the ship. The crew drifted for 10 weeks before finally being rescued. I admired Lieutenant Picard as he held the crew together during those 10 weeks.

2355 I resigned from Starfleet once again and returned to Vulcan and my employer, the Ministry of Thought. I have spent the last 22 years studying Vulcan history very closely and excavating a number of ruins.

2376 I was approached by a close friend and asked if I wanted a new challenge. I replied in the affirmative. He told me to apply to join Federation Intelligence. I said I had never heard of them. "That is why it might be a good challenge for you, T'Zora" he replied.

2377 Enrollment in the Fed-Intel Academy.

Real Life origin of my Character

Basically after I saw the Voyager episode Flashback in which Tuvok has 2 Starfleet Careers and sees a lot of Federation history, I thought that would be great for my Female Vulcan character to do the same as well. I have always been interested in the Vulcans ever since I first saw Spock (on reruns) in the early 1980's. I love their idea of logic before everything else. I admire the way they have learned to suppress their emotions.
